I’m hanging out at the police station with Felicia at the moment. Her phone got stolen and she needs to report it. It was so weird. She had it beside her on the couch at a cafe when to beggars came in. They were showing us notes about their life’s that were hard to read and they leaned in really closely. I was thinking that they looked a little bit more put together than the usual beggars. But in some way they managed to steal her phone. Because later she couldn’t find it an when she tried to call it the phone was off. I know it’s really usual with people stealing shit but this was really weird. Everything worked out with her tickets and she didn’t have her card in her phone so the disaster was not as bad as it could be. It’s a shame the world is they way it is so people have to steal to make money.
Today we’ve actually been real tourists. First we went to the to a church and then to the Berlin cathedral but we didn’t go in because I need to save money. After that we took the buss to Brandenburger gate and also went to see the memorial of the Murdered Jews. It’s right next to one of the biggest parks in Berlin which is called Tiergarten so we walked in there for a while but became super hungry and tired which lead us to the cafe. Felicia is talking to a coop and I’m still in the waiting room. This coop actually spoke English. A lot of older Germans don’t or speak very little. That can really be a problem when you need the police or health care. I was at the hospital one times and needed stitches and the doctors where only speaking German. I had some help with the paper work though. This is the land of paper work and I’ve only experienced a little so far. But if you are from Sweden you need to be prepared for things too be a little old fashioned.
