I’m back in Berlin now! I arrived yesterday morning, went home and fell asleep. Today I went to my ceramic course. I did two mugs but I was really tired and left an hour earlier. Now I’m back home, eating ice cream and is about to read a book. It’s the second one in a series from an author named Maja Lunde. She’s writing about the environmental crisis and her first book was about the bees and this one is about water. It’s so interesting but still so scary because the world she’s describing is within my lifetime.
I’m totally supporting people like the activist Greta Thunberg and everyone else trying to make a difference. I’m trying to do some stuff to like not eating meat, not over consuming and also get back into recycling. I used to do it but totally lost it because of ignorance and laziness. This is important because the people who suffers the most are the ones living in third world countries. It doesn’t really affects us here in the west yet, but it will for sure. I’m under the opinion that the world leaders has the biggest responsibility though. Because it’s them who owns the fabrics and control the market. It’s then maybe who writes the laws and make the big decisions.
It makes me so stressed though, that the world is falling apart. But it’s also easy for me to ignore because I’m living in Germany where we have more than we need and just can use as much water as we like and eat until we’re full everyday. I’m don’t have super much money but it’s more than enough to survive. This is why I can live in ignorance, because it doesn’t really effect me yet. But I will try not to, because it’s the most important thing if we want our planet to survive.
