In Friedrichshain

I finished a presentation that I had to hand in tonight a while ago. Omg it was so exhausting. The presentation itself was ok to do but all the technical things required to hand in a presentation online sucks. It ended up with me putting the powerpoint in iMovie and then I did a voiceover in Ableton. I didn´t manage to put in any music so I hope I won´t fail. I will beg to higher forces I won´t fail because I really don´t want to do this all over again. Afterwards both me and Kaspar felt totally done and irritated so we went down to the laundry room to play ping pong.

Today I went on a really weird walk. I have a hard time to just go outside for a walk without a plan about where I´m going so it ended up with me just being really confused about what to do. First I walked around in our neighbourhood. We live at Frankfurter Tor in Friedrichshain which is in a really nice neighbourhood with a lot of restaurants, smaller shops and bars. We also live really close to the Spree area where also our school is located. The area is decorated with a lot of graffiti and cool buildings and touristic clubs like Cassiopeia and Suicide Circus is located there. I went into a few store in search for a mother´s day gift for my mom but all the stores where kinda expensive. Then I talked to Albin on the phone while I tried to decide where I was going next. I went to the East side mall because I wanted to buy a new note book and bubble tea for Kaspar. I don´t like bubble tea, I think the bubbles are really weird but I know a lot of asian people likes it. I had a chinese friend here in Berlin who told me that and brought me to a bubble tea store. There was a super long line of asian people outside and I never think I´ve seen so many asian people gather together in any other place in Berlin. I would like to join the asian community more and especially the Chinese, but I think it´s a bit hard since I don´t speak the language and don´t know anything about the culture. But we´ll see, I might be able to get some asian friends in the future.

Well, back to my weird walk which wasn´t even that weird it´s just that I was hungry, confused and a bit stressed because I knew I was supposed to work on that stupid presentation I had to hand in. The stores had closed after I bought the bubble tea but I went to Rewe and bought 2 litres of Cola Zero. My addiction to light soda has been going crazier than ever these last couples of months but I won´t considering a detox before the corona epidemic is over. I stood at the candy shelves at Rewe and felt confused until I realised I was really close to the Swedish candy store and went there instead. That´s as exciting as it get´s when it comes to how my day was, but life is like that sometimes, not to exciting but still quite nice. Nothing really bad is going on.

Some pictures from a photoshoot I did with Kaspar inside our apartment yesterday. I want to use the pictures for promoting a single I´m going to release but it will take some time because my producer friend is still mixing it. I feel really happy about the song though, it´s about power structures in the household in heterosexual relationships.
